Kyoto is a relatively small
town, its expansion limited by the mountains that
surround it in the North, East and West. Yet in
terms of sightseeing, in numbers of famous places
to visit, it is not a far-fetched truth to say
that it is one of the vastest cities in the world.
The Gion district, the Kinkakuji - or Golden Pavilion,
area in the West, the Ginkakuji - or Silver Pavilion,
area in the East, the Arashiyama area, etc, all
would take a whole day to visit properly.
JIJUDEN
is conveniently located just south of the Golden
Pavilion, and here we would like to introduce
to you some of the notable sights and restaurants
